The NW-SE trending anticlines and synclines in the Zagros Fold and Thrust belt has been lately affected by the transverse strike slip faults. Kuhhay-e-Siah Anticline is one of the major folds in the border of the Dezful Embayement and Izeh Zone in Zagros Fold and Thrust belt. This anticline affected by the right and left lateral strike slip faults during latest stage of deformation in the Zagros orogeny. We believe that these strike slip faults are younger order of major L1 and before folding order of Khark-Mish basement lineaments. Our fault slip data inversion represents the almost N-S oriented paleostress direction that reactivated the basement lineament. This paleostress direction is properly correlated with the present day compression direction deduced from GPS data. So, we suggested a post folding phase of deformation for activation of the basement lineament that lately affected the cover sediments and their structures.
